 ভূমিকা | Introduction

আধুনিক বিজ্ঞান মানুষের জ্ঞানের এক নতুন দিগন্ত উন্মোচন করেছে। প্রযুক্তি, চিকিৎসা, জ্যোতির্বিজ্ঞান, পদার্থবিদ্যা—সব ক্ষেত্রেই মানুষের সাফল্য চোখে পড়ার মতো। কিন্তু অনেকেই ভুলভাবে মনে করেন, ইসলাম যেন বিজ্ঞানের বিপরীতে অবস্থান করে। বাস্তবে ইসলামই সেই প্রথম ধর্ম যা মানুষকে চিন্তা, গবেষণা ও পর্যবেক্ষণের আহ্বান জানিয়েছে।

Modern science has opened a new horizon of knowledge for humanity. From technology to medicine and astronomy to physics — progress is remarkable. Yet, some assume that Islam contradicts science. In reality, Islam was the first religion to invite mankind to observe, reflect, and research the universe.

 জ্ঞানচর্চা সম্পর্কে ইসলামের দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি | Islam’s View on Knowledge

ইসলাম জ্ঞানচর্চাকে ইবাদতের একটি অংশ হিসেবে বিবেচনা করেছে। আল্লাহ বলেন,

> “বলুন, যারা জানে এবং যারা জানে না—তারা কি সমান?”

(সূরা আয-যুমার: ৯)

Islam considers the pursuit of knowledge as an act of worship. Allah says:

> “Say, are those who know equal to those who do not know?”

(Qur’an, Surah Az-Zumar: 9)

এই আয়াতই প্রমাণ করে যে জ্ঞান অর্জন ও গবেষণা ইসলামী সভ্যতার ভিত্তি।

 বিজ্ঞান ও কুরআনের সম্পর্ক | Relationship between Science and the Qur’an

কুরআনে এমন বহু আয়াত আছে যেখানে প্রকৃতি, নক্ষত্র, গর্ভের সৃষ্টি, পানি, বাতাস, এমনকি পারমাণবিক শক্তি সম্পর্কেও ইঙ্গিত রয়েছে।

For example:

> “আমি আকাশমণ্ডলী ও পৃথিবীকে সত্যের সাথে সৃষ্টি করেছি।” (সূরা আল-আনকাবূত: ৪৪

Modern scientists later discovered that every matter in the universe follows precise laws — exactly as the Qur’an describes divine order.

ইসলামী বিজ্ঞানীদের অবদান | Contribution of Muslim Scientists

মধ্যযুগে মুসলিম বিজ্ঞানীরা আধুনিক বিজ্ঞানের ভিত্তি স্থাপন করেছিলেন।

ইবনে সিনা (Avicenna) — চিকিৎসাশাস্ত্রের জনক

আল-খোয়ারিজমি — অ্যালজেব্রার উদ্ভাবক

ইবনে হাইথাম — আধুনিক অপটিক্সের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা

আল-বিরুনি — জ্যোতির্বিজ্ঞান ও ভূগোলবিদ

These Muslim scholars laid the foundation of today’s scientific progress. Western science actually evolved from their works.

 ইসলাম ও আধুনিকতার সমন্বয় | Harmony of Islam and Modernity

ইসলাম আধুনিক বিজ্ঞানকে নিরুৎসাহিত করে না; বরং সঠিক উদ্দেশ্যে জ্ঞান ব্যবহারের শিক্ষা দেয়।

Science without ethics can be destructive, but Islam guides science toward the betterment of humanity.

 উপসংহার | Conclusion

ইসলাম ও বিজ্ঞান একে অপরের প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বী নয়, বরং পরিপূরক। ইসলাম মানুষের চিন্তা ও গবেষণাকে উৎসাহ দেয়, যাতে সে সৃষ্টিকর্তার মহিমা অনুধাবন করতে পারে।

Islam and science are not rivals but partners in exploring truth. Islam encourages research and reflection — leading humankind closer to the Creator.
